Originally called The Kootenai Camp, this historic and tranquil nest of homes in the Northern Rockies in Northwest Montana, needed a rugged/modern makeover.
Branding, like logos, that are well designed, exhibit a methodical and deliberate approach to the three major attributes that make up any brand: form, aesthetic unity and recognition. From the ground up, this project was exciting. Having spent summer and winter vacations in Idaho, which bordered Montana, I could relate very well to the outdoors nature this project would encompass.
The logo needed connection with Swan Lake and inherit the historic architectural influence. Next came the branding surrounding it. A fairly simple touch of a rustic color palette overlaying woodgrain, paw prints, with a strong font selection. Both Serif and Sans give a rugged, yet healthy balance, in each piece of material.
